Chimelong Safari Park: Plan a Family Day in Guangzhou

Book the Guangzhou Safari Park specifically, then choose a few priority areas. Other Chimelong parks and shows are separate products unless your package says otherwise.

Plan at a glance

  • Do not confuse Guangzhou and Zhuhai parks.
  • Check included transport and experiences.
  • Let animal care and operating conditions guide the visit.

The correct park and ticket

Chimelong Safari Park is in the Guangzhou resort area in Panyu. It is different from Chimelong Paradise, the water park and Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in Zhuhai. Check the exact park name and date before buying.

Read the package inclusions and any reservation instructions. A hotel stay or a resort-branded ticket does not automatically give access to every park or evening show.

For a family, check the current age or height rules used for tickets and specific activities. Use the official information for the actual product rather than applying another park’s policy.

Choose a route you can finish comfortably

Use the current park map to choose a few animal areas and the transport experiences you want. The park includes walking and other viewing options, but the available routes and conditions should be checked on the day.

Do not plan to cover everything at the same pace. Give children time to watch an animal rather than moving immediately to the next enclosure. A shorter route with rests can be more memorable than a full circuit.

Confirm the entrance and exit for your transport plan. If using a hotel shuttle or private car, save the actual meeting point and last useful departure.

Watching animals

Animal activity varies with care routines, weather and the animals themselves. Do not promise a particular animal interaction or feeding scene at a fixed time. Follow the staff’s directions for each viewing area.

Never feed or touch animals except within an explicitly authorised, supervised activity. A promotional photograph is not permission to recreate the scene. Keep hands and belongings within the required boundaries.

Explain a few things for children to notice, such as movement or how animals use their space. Watching quietly often gives more to talk about than calling for an animal to look at the camera.

Meals, breaks and the evening

Build in a seated meal and regular pauses. Check current rules for food, bags and strollers before packing. Carry what the family needs without turning the day into a luggage exercise.

An evening circus or another park is an additional decision, not an automatic continuation. Consider the finish time, separate ticket and children’s energy before combining them.

Keep the return simple. A satisfying day at one park is enough; there is no need to add another attraction simply because it is in the same resort.
