DAY 01Arrive on the Shandong coast

Your Qingdao, Weihai and Yantai tour starts with the following arrangements. Meet your team at the confirmed Qingdao airport or railway station and transfer to the hotel. There is no scheduled sightseeing today. Settle in, rest, and ask for a nearby seaside promenade or a restaurant serving local dumplings if you want to go out independently.

DAY 02Signal Hill → Little Qingdao → Badaguan → sailing waterfront

Allow around one hour on Signal Hill for a view over the old city, then another hour on Little Qingdao’s waterside paths. Continue through Badaguan and No. 2 Bathing Beach for 2–2.5 hours, looking at villas, garden roads and the coast. Finish with about 1.5 hours at the Olympic Sailing Center. Beach visits here mean time on shore rather than a promise of swimming.

An optional 45–60-minute sailing trip may be booked separately. The operator checks ages and other participation requirements, and wind, sea conditions or harbour controls can stop departures. Without this upgrade, keep the waterfront walk as planned.

DAY 03Laoshan Yangkou → green-tea garden

Drive roughly 1–1.5 hours to Laoshan’s Yangkou visitor area. Spend about 3.5–4 hours on the permitted mountain circuit, using the operating cableway if selected and allowing for stairs between viewpoints. Granite outcrops and the open view toward the Yellow Sea distinguish this route from the Taiqing coast. Restricted roads and official scenic transport follow the dated operating arrangements.

A 1.5-hour tea-garden or tea-culture visit follows, with the basic tasting included. Compare the aroma and preparation of Laoshan green tea with your host. Picking or processing is only offered when the season and participating garden support it; it is not an automatic year-round activity.

DAY 04Train to Weihai → Liugong Island

Take an early second-class bullet train from Qingdao North to the confirmed Weihai station, using about two hours as a planning estimate rather than a guaranteed timetable. The local team meets you, arranges the luggage handover and transfers you to the island ferry.

Allow four to five hours on Liugong Island, including the Museum of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894–1895 and Beiyang Fleet-related historic sites. The guide relates the harbour’s geography to its naval history. Ferry boarding and the return crossing need their own time, and rough weather can interrupt island access. Return to Weihai for the night.

DAY 05Blueways shore viewpoint → Dongchudao → Rongcheng

Allow roughly 1–1.5 hours by road toward Chengshan for a 30–45-minute stop at a permitted shoreline viewpoint of the stranded Blueways cargo ship. Viewing stays on authorised land: there is no boarding, rock scrambling or approach to the vessel. Its visibility and continued presence must be checked; if shore access is unavailable, agree an accessible Rongcheng coastal stop.

Continue about 1–1.5 hours toward Dongchudao Village for 2–2.5 hours among stone houses and seaweed-thatched roofs. Your guide explains the materials in relation to the local coastal climate. Respect occupied homes and ask before photographing residents. Finish at your Rongcheng accommodation.

DAY 06Rongcheng → Changyu → Chaoyang Street → Yantai Hill

The road to Yantai takes about 2.5–3 hours before a roughly two-hour visit to the Changyu Wine Culture Museum. Cellar and production displays introduce the city’s wine-making history; the agreed standard adult tasting depends on the museum’s current package, with no requirement to drink.

Continue on foot along Chaoyang Street for about an hour, then spend around 1.5 hours at Yantai Hill. Former consular buildings and the harbour outlook add context to Yantai’s development as a trading port. Stay in Yantai, with dinner chosen separately.

DAY 07Penglai Pavilion → onward transfer

For a late departure, drive around 1–1.5 hours to Penglai Pavilion and spend 2.5–3 hours exploring its buildings and coastal paths. Your guide separates the history of the Dengzhou port from the Eight Immortals legends; clear views depend on conditions and mirages are not promised.

Finish at the confirmed Yantai airport or station. The source suggests domestic flights after 17:00, international flights after 19:00 or trains after 17:00 for this visit, subject to the actual transfer and check-in margin. An earlier departure goes directly from Yantai with Penglai removed by prior agreement.
