Your Xiamen and Chaoshan tour starts with the following arrangements. Meet the Xiamen arrival team and settle into the hotel after the journey. If arrival time and energy suit, keep the planned short evening visit to Zengcuo’an, where a former fishing settlement now contains visitor shops, food stalls and small accommodation businesses. This is a flexible introduction to the city, not a compulsory late-night event after a delayed flight.

Zengcuoan Village

Take the booked second-class service from the confirmed Xiamen station to the actual Shantou-area station, then meet the local team. At the Chaoshan history-and-culture venue, explore the booked displays on language, crafts and trade. An Yingge demonstration follows the operator’s dated programme, not a guaranteed daily half-hour show. Continue through Little Park, Tianhou and Laoma Temple areas, with exterior views of the old post office and port-opening exhibition buildings.

Cross Nan’ao Bridge for the scheduled island circuit, including the Zongbingfu coastal-defence site, Tropic of Cancer Square, Qing’ao Bay and the Sancongya lighthouse viewpoint where access is permitted. Allow about 3–4 driving hours across the full loop, plus visits and breaks, depending on hotel and road conditions. Beach time is not an included swimming or water-sports session. Wind, visibility and traffic can change the order before returning to Shantou.

Drive about 1–1.5 hours to Chaozhou and explore Guangji Bridge and its gate-tower area according to access times. Continue to Chaozhou’s Kaiyuan Temple, distinct from the Quanzhou temple of the same name. Keep the booked gongfu-tea session, with any opera, strings or singing determined by the venue’s actual programme. Finish among Paifang Street’s archways and food stalls; purchases along the food walk are individually paid.

Visit Longhu’s lanes and carved residences for roughly 1.5–2 hours, asking permission before entering occupied properties. Its compact layout offers another view of Chaoshan building traditions after Chaozhou’s city streets. Transfer to the booked Chaoshan-area station for second-class travel to the confirmed Xiamen station. Local reception and the hotel transfer follow the actual arrival time, without adding a fixed evening excursion.

Longhu Ancient Village

Use the booked ferry for a full island day: the corner streets, Organ Museum, Shuzhuang Garden and Sunlight Rock remain in the programme, followed by Haitiantanggou’s architectural setting. Confirm gallery openings and any scheduled puppet presentation. Authorised electric carts cover only permitted perimeter routes and boarding points; stairs and pedestrian lanes still require walking. Leave lunch independent near Longtou Road and allow time for the correct return pier and ferry.

Start early for Yunshuiyao’s streamside paths and the Hegui and Huaiyuan earthen buildings. Compare the square building’s foundation setting with Huaiyuan’s enclosed layout and timber details, keeping to authorised visitor areas. Expect around 5–6 road hours across the return journey plus sightseeing and breaks; this is a full inland day rather than a short city excursion. Do not promise private upstairs access or empty village lanes.

Keep independent time near the hotel until the agreed pickup. Your scheduled private transfer reaches the confirmed Xiamen airport, station or other booked terminal, with time for traffic, luggage and departure procedures. Extra visits and a different drop-off point need advance agreement rather than an assumed extension of service.
