Meet the confirmed local reception team at the Xishuangbanna airport or station specified in your booking and transfer to your hotel. Keep the rest of the day unhurried after travelling. Nearby walks and food suggestions are available for early arrivals, but independent exploration does not include an ongoing sightseeing vehicle or guide. A preceding Kunming–Xishuangbanna economy flight can be coordinated as specified; it is not automatically included in the local airport pickup. Separate-ticket arrivals require time for immigration, baggage and re-check-in.

Visit Manting Park’s gardens and Dai-style spaces for about two hours, then the adjoining General Buddhist Temple’s permitted public areas. Dress and photography rules respect the active Theravada setting. Continue to Manzhang for village lanes and one booked introductory activity: papermaking, pottery or Dai musical instruments. The selected 45–60-minute workshop is confirmed in advance; it is not a promise of all three experiences or unrestricted home access.

Travel about 1–1.5 hours each way to the Chinese Academy of Sciences botanical garden at Menglun. Reserve 5–6 hours for the West Area’s curated collections and a suitable East Area rainforest section, combining authorised electric carts with walking. Compare planted collections with buttress roots and forest layers where paths are open. Heavy rain may shorten the rainforest section; specialist interpretation is an optional additional service, not automatically a private research visit.

Transfer to Xishuangbanna station for the booked second-class train to Pu’er, typically around 40–50 minutes on the selected service. Meet the new local guide and driver, arrange luggage, then visit a booked coffee estate for 3–4 hours. Follow cultivation, processing, roasting and tasting rather than expecting every production stage to be live at once. Cherry picking depends on harvest, access and the estate’s permission.

Drive approximately 3–4 hours from Pu’er into the Jingmai hills. Spend about 1.5–2 hours in Nuogang and a similar period in Wengji, comparing Dai and Blang settlement forms, tea connections and shared community spaces. A booked welcome-tea or roasted-tea session follows community availability. Ask before photographing people or entering private buildings, then settle into locally selected village accommodation.

Reserve 5–6 hours for the Jingmai cultural landscape, including a selected 2–2.5-hour tea-forest walk. Observe tea growing under taller trees and learn how local communities maintain this system. Continue around Mangjing and join the included basic tea-making and tasting session for about 1.5–2 hours. Picking is seasonal and requires permission; the actual leaves, production stages and take-home arrangements are agreed with the producer.

Leave the mountain hotel with enough time for the confirmed departure. The preferred drop-off is Lancang Jingmai Airport, about two hours away, only when a suitable onward flight is operating. If that does not work, the agreed alternative is Xishuangbanna Gasa Airport, with roughly 3–3.5 hours of driving plus breaks. Confirm the selected airport and any price difference before issuing flights; avoid an assumed early-morning connection.
