Keep the remainder of the day unhurried after your journey. If time allows, ask for a nearby walk and restaurant suggestions; these do not extend the scheduled reception into an all-day sightseeing service.

Drive about 1.5–2 hours to the Stone Forest for approximately three hours among limestone pinnacles and narrow passages. Your guide selects an open route that balances geological detail with manageable walking. Return to Kunming for Green Lake’s paths and nearby streets, seeing how a city park serves everyday gatherings. Music, birds and clear views are possibilities rather than fixed performances or wildlife guarantees.

Take the booked second-class train from the confirmed Kunming station to Lijiang, allowing roughly 3.5–4.5 hours plus station transfers. After local reception, walk Black Dragon Pool for about an hour before exploring Lijiang’s water channels and Naxi houses. Mountain reflections depend on visibility and pool conditions. Luggage access to the selected hotel is arranged around pedestrian lanes, rather than assuming a car reaches every door.

Use the confirmed scenic transport and cableway for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, selecting Glacier Park only when access, weather and individual condition allow. High-altitude walking is optional and there is no guarantee that oxygen prevents symptoms. Leave Lijiang for the designated upper-gorge viewpoints at Tiger Leaping Gorge, allowing 2–2.5 hours for the visit and substantial stairs if descending toward the river. This is not a multi-day high-trail trek. Continue to Shangri-La, with about 4–5 hours of road travel across the day plus stops. At roughly 3,200 metres, keep the first evening restful and avoid adding strenuous sightseeing.

Tiger Leaping Gorge

Visit Songzanlin’s courtyards and permitted halls for 1.5–2 hours, following monastery photography and dress rules. A selected Dukezong walk introduces the old town, Moonlight Square and Guishan area without demanding every uphill stair. Transfer to Shangri-La station for the booked second-class train to Kunming, allowing roughly 4.5–6 hours on the selected service. The long travel day requires an appropriately early museum-and-town start.

Songzanlin Monastery · Dukezong Old Town

Transfer to Kunming Changshui Airport for the booked economy journey to Zhangjiajie. The actual operating flight, any connection and baggage allowance are confirmed for your date; do not assume a year-round direct schedule. Meet the local team and continue to your selected hotel. No major sightseeing is attached to this transfer day, leaving time to prepare for the park.

Spend the day among the sandstone pillars of the national forest park. Official eco-buses link the Bailong Elevator, Yuanjiajie viewpoints and Tianzi Mountain; use the elevator and cableway in the confirmed direction. Look across rock bridges and forested ravines rather than trying to visit every platform. Allow 6–8 hours including walks, queues and breaks. Steps remain beyond the lifts; distant views depend on visibility.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park · Tianzi Mountain · Yuanjiajie · Golden Whip Stream

Travel to the Grand Canyon for approximately 3–4 hours on the booked bridge-and-canyon route. The transparent span reveals the depth of the wooded gorge, while lower paths show streams and cliff walls at close range. Scenic lifts, slides and boats are used only where covered by the confirmed ticket and operating. Guests avoiding the bridge need an agreed feasible alternative, rather than an assumed identical bypass. Continue to Yellow Dragon Cave for about 2–3 hours in the open chambers and river section. The two sites require road links and a full day; cave steps and wet surfaces remain part of the route.

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge · Yellow Dragon Cave Zhangjiajie

Reserve about 5–6 hours for Tianmen Mountain, following the ticketed combination of operating shuttles, cableways and escalators. The natural arch and cliffside paths give different views of the mountain; glass walkways are optional when open. Do not assume the historic city-to-summit cableway, the 99-Bend Road or a particular circuit is operating. Walking and queues remain part of the visit. After descending, transfer to Zhangjiajie West for the booked second-class train to Fenghuanggucheng station. Allow the mountain’s complete visit, luggage retrieval and station security before choosing the train. A local driver continues to the old-town hotel.

Tianmen Mountain

Walk beside the Tuojiang River and through Fenghuang’s stone lanes, comparing the riverside stilt houses, bridges and enclosed courtyards. Your guide explains how trade and local communities shaped the town. It is a lively visitor destination, particularly after dark, rather than a promise of silent streets. Historic interiors and any boat trip follow the confirmed ticket scope. After the morning walk, take the booked second-class train from Fenghuanggucheng to Changsha South and meet the local driver for your hotel. A river cruise is optional and requires a separate confirmed ticket and enough time before the train.

Fenghuang Ancient Town

Keep free time close to your Changsha hotel until the agreed pickup. Your scheduled private transfer takes you to the airport or railway station confirmed in your proposal, allowing for traffic, luggage and check-in. Independent time includes no continuing sightseeing vehicle or guide.
