Keep the remainder of the day unhurried after your journey. If time allows, ask for a nearby walk and restaurant suggestions; these do not extend the scheduled reception into an all-day sightseeing service.

Drive about two hours from Guiyang to the Gaoyao terraces for selected village or roadside viewpoints, allowing roughly an hour on foot. Continue to a pre-booked Shiqiao workshop to follow bark fibre through pulping and sheet forming, with hands-on participation as agreed. Allow 1.5–2 hours for the workshop and another 1.5–2 hours onward to Kaili. Crop colours and reflections follow the farming calendar.

Continue to Qingman for a 1.5–2-hour walk among timber houses and agricultural surroundings. Ask permission before photographing residents or entering homes.

Travel about 1.5–2 hours toward the Wuyang River embarkation point, then take the scheduled gorge cruise when navigation permits. Continue about an hour to Zhenyuan and leave luggage before exploring the river-facing town. Allow 1.5–2 hours for the cliffside Qinglong Cave architectural complex, where steps connect halls of several religious traditions. Evening river views fit around check-in rather than another long transfer.

Wuyang River · Zhenyuan Ancient Town · Qinglong Cave

Drive about 2–2.5 hours from Zhenyuan to the East Gate before the booked mountain visit. Enter from Jiangkou’s East Gate at the reserved time. Official shuttle and cableway lead to walking paths around Mushroom Rock, temple buildings and open viewpoints. Allow 6–8 hours including queues, steps and rests. Red Cloud Golden Summit has steep narrow sections and separate on-site access controls; ascent is optional, with no promise of both summits. Descend to your Jiangkou-area hotel, keeping the evening quiet.

Fanjingshan

Leave the Fanjing Mountain area for Guiyang by private vehicle, allowing about 3.5–4.5 hours plus a rest stop and traffic margin. End at the confirmed airport, railway station or downtown hotel. An evening departure is preferred; international check-in requires its own timing check. Do not assume that staying near the mountain makes a morning Guiyang flight practical.
