DAY 01Arrive in the city of springs

Your Jinan, Mount Tai and Qufu tour starts with the following arrangements. Your arrival team meets you at Jinan Yaoqiang Airport or the railway station named in your booking and takes you to the hotel. Keep this first day free for rest. If you arrive early, ask for a short neighbourhood walk and suggestions for local spiral pastries or a Shandong dinner, with restaurant choices and spending left to you.

DAY 02Baotu Spring → Black Tiger Spring → Qushuiting → Daming Lake

Spend 1.5–2 hours around Baotu Spring’s pools and garden buildings before about 45 minutes at Black Tiger Spring. Your guide connects the groundwater landscape with the moat and the everyday use of spring water. Follow Qushuiting Street for 1–1.5 hours past its water channel, courtyards and willows, then allow around two hours beside Daming Lake. Lotus is seasonal rather than a year-round feature.

A booked 30–45-minute tea session provides a seated break and an introduction to the selected tea. The venue and time are arranged around opening hours, with lunch and rests allowed between the walks.

DAY 03Dai Temple → scenic bus → Mount Tai’s upper paths

Leave Jinan early for the roughly 1–1.5-hour drive to Tai’an. Begin with about 1.5 hours at Dai Temple, where courtyards and inscriptions introduce the imperial ceremonies associated with Mount Tai. Continue to Tianwaicun, change to the official bus for Zhongtianmen, and take the cableway toward Nantianmen. Transfers and queues are additional to running time.

Allow about 3–3.5 hours on the upper circuit through Heavenly Street and, as fitness and conditions permit, Bixia Temple and the Jade Emperor Peak area. Even with a cableway there are stone steps and exposed weather. Descend the mountain and stay in Tai’an; this is a base-town overnight, not a summit or sunrise package. The combined temple-and-mountain day needs an early start and dated closing-time review.

DAY 04Temple → mansion → cemetery in Qufu

Drive about 1–1.5 hours from Tai’an to Qufu. Give the Temple of Confucius 2.5–3 hours, following its courtyards, halls and inscriptions as your guide explains how the complex grew around a teacher’s legacy. Continue to the Kong Family Mansion for about 1.5 hours to explore the household and administrative world of his senior descendants.

A local transfer takes you to the Cemetery of Confucius, where 1.5–2 hours among trees and memorial stones completes the three-site sequence. This is a substantial walking day; keep a proper lunch break and agree any internal transport before travel. Stay in Qufu.

DAY 05Confucius Museum → one craft session → Qufu East

With a suitable onward train, spend 2–2.5 hours at the Confucius Museum, using selected ritual objects, texts and family records to connect the previous day’s sites with the wider influence of Confucian thought. Continue with one prebooked, approximately one-hour activity: brush calligraphy, a quotation rubbing on an authorised teaching plate, or traditional bookbinding. It is one choice, not three full workshops, and no original monument is used for rubbing.

Finish at Qufu East Railway Station. A train after 15:00 is the source planning basis for both activities, but the exact session, lunch, transfer and boarding buffer must fit the actual departure. Earlier trains require an agreed reduced programme.
