DAY 01Arrival and time to settle in

Your Kunming, Jianshui and Yuanyang tour starts with the following arrangements. Meet the confirmed local reception team at the Kunming airport or station specified in your booking and transfer to your hotel. Keep the rest of the day unhurried after travelling. Nearby walks and food suggestions are available for early arrivals, but independent exploration does not include an ongoing sightseeing vehicle or guide.

DAY 02Naigu Stone Forest → Confucian Temple → Zhu Garden

Drive to Naigu Stone Forest for an open route among darker limestone columns and corridors, then continue to Jianshui. The two road legs may require about 4.5–5.5 driving hours in total, so an early start is important. Retain the Confucian Temple, Zhu Family Garden and an evening Chaoyang Gate-area walk, with opening times and a realistic visit allowance agreed before booking. An optional purple-pottery workshop needs separate time and payment.

DAY 03Heritage train → Tuanshan → Terrace sunset

Take the booked Jianshui metre-gauge sightseeing train, using the day’s actual stops around Shuanglong Bridge and Tuanshan. This local heritage route developed from the regional Gebishi railway network, not simply the French-built Kunming–Haiphong main line. Explore Tuanshan’s lived-in courtyards before the return and road journey to Yuanyang, allowing around 2.5–3.5 driving hours. Laohuzui sunset remains planned only with confirmed authorised access and sufficient daylight.

DAY 04Duoyishu dawn → Qingkou Hani village

Arrive at the permitted Duoyishu viewpoint before sunrise for a chance to see terrace contours, water reflections and shifting cloud. Crop stage, field flooding and visibility determine the scene; there is no guaranteed coloured sunrise. After breakfast, visit Qingkou to discuss how ridge forest, villages, channels and cultivated terraces form one landscape. Keep the remaining day unhurried after the early start, with private homes entered only by invitation.

DAY 05Yuanyang → Western Hills and Dragon Gate

A second Duoyishu sunrise attempt is optional if timing permits. Return to Kunming, reserving about 4.5–5.5 hours of road travel plus breaks, then retain the Western Hills and Dragon Gate visit using the confirmed scenic transport. Narrow cliff paths and steps remain beyond the cableway. The early start and last-entry time must fit both parts; a late return cannot support the full mountain visit unchanged. Haigeng Dam is a separately agreed optional stop.

DAY 06Free time and departure transfer

Keep independent time near your Kunming hotel until the agreed pickup. The scheduled private transfer reaches the airport or railway station confirmed in your proposal, allowing for traffic, luggage and departure procedures. Additional visits or a different drop-off location require advance agreement rather than an assumed extension of the daily service.

Booking, payment & cancellation

Submit your inquiry or tailor-made request online, and our travel consultant will contact you within one working day.
We will then work with you to refine the itinerary and quotation until the travel plan is confirmed, with no charge for itinerary adjustments.
Once you approve the itinerary and quotation, a deposit of at least 10% of the total tour price is required to secure the booking and reserve local travel services. After payment, we will issue an official payment receipt.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before departure. Once full payment is received, we will issue your final Tour Confirmation with the confirmed travel arrangements.

Cancellation Policy:
30 days or more before departure: 90% of the total amount paid is refundable.
15–29 days before departure: 40% of the total amount paid is refundable.
Within 14 days of departure: The total amount paid is non-refundable.
