Start with around 1.5 hours at the Temple of Heaven, then drive toward Mutianyu with time for a food break. The programme specifies the official shuttle and enclosed return cable car. Walk for roughly 1.5–2 hours between suitable watchtowers before returning to Beijing. The cable car reduces the approach climb but leaves steps and gradients on the wall itself.

Spend around 2–2.5 hours along the Summer Palace’s Long Corridor and Kunming Lake shore before the station transfer. Travel in second class to Pingyaogucheng, allowing provisionally 3.5–5.5 hours on the train. Meet the local team and check in, leaving any evening stroll optional. The actual Beijing departure station follows the ticket, not an unverified station label.

Explore the wall, merchant streets and Rishengchang’s banking courtyards over around 3–4 hours. Your guide connects the town’s buildings with the movement of money and people across China. Join a 1–1.5-hour noodle-making introduction, practising one technique and tasting your work. Leave room afterwards for slower lanes and a tea break rather than another distant excursion.

Study the expressive painted figures at Shuanglin Temple for around 1.5–2 hours, then continue to Pingyaogucheng for the train to Xi’an North. After arrival, take a 1–1.5-hour wall walk if the selected service permits. Prefer arrival by late afternoon; a later train requires an agreed move of the wall visit to Day 8 and a compatible Shanghai flight.

Spend around 3–3.5 hours in the Terracotta Army exhibition area, then make a small warrior in a 45–60-minute introductory workshop using modern clay. Return to the Muslim Quarter for a 1–1.5-hour walk through food streets and historic lanes. Food purchases follow your choices unless specifically included; the workshop’s materials and delivery are confirmed in advance.

Allow around 1.5–2 hours for Da Ci’en Temple and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda precinct, relating Xuanzang’s travels to Tang cultural exchange. The base visit covers the temple and pagoda exterior; climbing is optional. Continue to the airport for an economy-class flight and the Shanghai hotel transfer, keeping the evening relaxed after the change of city.

Move from Yu Garden’s enclosed rock-and-water scenes to the broad urban view from Shanghai Tower’s booked observatory. Walk the Bund to compare historic riverside buildings with Pudong, leaving time for a meal break before a standard evening Huangpu cruise of roughly 45–60 minutes.
