Stay within Xiangshawan’s officially operating visitor zones for the day. Choose the viewpoints, short dune walks and rests that suit your interests. Sand underfoot can make even a short walk tiring, so leave room for water, shade and breaks rather than treating every resort activity as compulsory.

Cableways, sandboarding, camel rides and desert vehicles are individually optional or part of a specifically selected ticket package; they are not all automatically included in the starting price. The operator controls age, fitness, weather and safety limits, equipment, routes and queues. Confirm any transport needed just to reach your hotel separately from recreational rides. Return to the same desert accommodation, with a warm layer available after sunset.

After breakfast, allow roughly 1.5–2 hours by road to the Genghis Khan Mausoleum tourism area. Transfer to the confirmed Ordos Ejin Horo Airport or Dongsheng West Railway Station. Returning to Hohhot or continuing to Beijing is a separately planned extension with its own transport, time and price; this standard journey ends in Ordos.
