Your China and Tibet tour starts with the following arrangements. Your arrival representative meets you at Beijing Capital or Daxing Airport, as shown in the booking, for a private transfer to the city hotel. The first day has no fixed attraction, leaving time to rest after the international journey.

An early arrival may allow an independent neighbourhood walk and a meal recommendation. The two airports are different transfer endpoints; the actual terminal and flight decide reception arrangements.

Enter the Palace Museum with the confirmed passport-based reservation and allow approximately 3–4 hours through the open principal halls and courtyards. Your guide uses the buildings and displays to explain court life rather than promising access to every gallery. The programme is reordered around Monday and holiday opening arrangements.

Continue to the Temple of Heaven for around 1.5–2 hours, focusing on the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and the permitted ceremonial circuit. Allow additional road travel, security and lunch time between the visits; the surrounding park walk is adjusted to your pace.

Drive around 1.5–2 hours each way to Mutianyu. The planned round-trip cable-car arrangement reduces the approach climb, leaving around 2–3 hours for selected towers and wall sections. Steep steps remain, and a cable-car booking does not guarantee that every tower is accessible.

Back in Beijing, take a guided hutong walk and the planned tea break. A visit inside a family home requires a willing, prearranged host and is not the same as walking past courtyard doors. Confirm the host visit separately; no uninvited entry is included.

Mutianyu Great Wall · Beijing Hutongs

Spend approximately 2–2.5 hours beside Kunming Lake and the Long Corridor at the Summer Palace, selecting a manageable garden circuit rather than every hillside building. Afterwards collect luggage and transfer to the confirmed Beijing airport.

Take the planned nonstop economy flight to Xi’an Xianyang, meet the local team and continue to the hotel. Garden time must fit the actual flight and airport transfer, with check-in and security included in the day’s allowance. The dated airfare is specified in the proposal.

Summer Palace Beijing

Drive roughly 1–1.5 hours to the Terracotta Army visitor area and allow around three hours for the public pit halls. Your guide explains formations, production and surviving colour, with no handling of ancient objects or conservation-laboratory access.

Return toward Da Ci’en Temple and the Great Wild Goose Pagoda for about 1.5–2 hours, exploring the Tang Buddhist setting and Xuanzang’s story. Any pagoda ascent has a separate operating and ticket scope confirmed in advance; the evening is free for a local meal at your own expense.

Terracotta Warriors · Giant Wild Goose Pagoda

Transfer to Xi’an airport for the planned nonstop economy flight to Lhasa Gonggar. Meet the Tibet guide and driver for an approximately 1–1.5-hour road transfer to the hotel. At around 3,650 metres, leave the rest of the day unscheduled.

Your Tibet Travel Permit and organised route must already be approved for the actual travel documents and dates. The receiving agency confirms documentation and delivery before the flight. Report discomfort promptly; hotel rest and oxygen provision do not guarantee freedom from altitude illness.

If you feel well, visit selected Norbulingka gardens and palace areas for roughly 1–1.5 hours, leaving most of the day for rest. The lower-intensity circuit gives context for Lhasa’s palace history without beginning with the Potala’s long stair approach.

Sera can be a short additional visit only if your condition and its opening schedule allow; a debating session is not guaranteed. Drepung is a possible agreed replacement for another visit, not a third monastery automatically added today. Keep the actual programme within the approved receiving arrangements.

Norbulingka

Visit the Potala at the confirmed slot, following its permitted interior circuit and interpretation rules. Take the stair approach slowly while respecting the time allowed inside. The team checks the passport reservation before confirming the day; viewing the exterior is not an equivalent substitute.

Continue to Jokhang and the clockwise Barkhor lanes as energy permits, with time to observe pilgrimage and old-town life respectfully. Religious interiors, photography and guided access follow the rules operating that day.

Potala Palace · Jokhang Temple · Barkhor Street

After three Lhasa nights, follow the approved road to Yamdrok viewpoints only if your condition allows. Plan roughly 4–6 hours of driving across the return circuit plus brief stops and lunch. The lake lies around 4,400 metres, while some viewpoints approach 4,800 metres.

Keep the visit to managed roadside and permitted lakeside areas, with no high-altitude hike. Return to Lhasa without extending to Karola Glacier or Shigatse. Persistent symptoms require rest or an agreed gentler city programme rather than continuing higher.

Yamdrok Lake

Transfer to Gonggar Airport for the planned nonstop economy flight to Chengdu. The local team meets the actual operating arrival airport and takes you to the hotel; no fixed sightseeing is scheduled.

Rest after the plateau section, with an optional independent neighbourhood walk if arrival is early. Airport choice, luggage and the quoted airfare are confirmed with the dated itinerary.

Visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding early, allowing about three hours for the open enclosures and conservation displays. Your guide adapts the route to animal activity and the park’s size; cubs, named pandas and close contact are not guaranteed.

Return to People’s Park for a gentle walk and the planned covered-bowl tea. Watch the public teahouse activity and leave space for an easy nearby street walk. Confirm the tea serving and dietary preferences; other restaurant orders are separate.

Chengdu Panda Base · Chengdu People's Park

Drive roughly 2–2.5 hours each way to Leshan and begin with the land-based Lingyun Temple and upper Giant Buddha visitor circuit. Learn about the Tang carving and its confluence setting. The steep lower cliff path depends on access, queues and fitness rather than being compulsory.

A separate sightseeing boat can provide a wider river view if water conditions, operations and time permit. Its fare is confirmed separately, and both a full cliff descent and a boat ride are not promised in the same day. Return to Chengdu for the night.

Leshan Giant Buddha

Transfer to Chengdu East station for the planned second-class high-speed rail journey to Zhangjiajie West. Use the dated service and actual travel duration confirmed at booking, with a connection if no suitable direct train is available. Allow station procedures and luggage time in addition to the rail journey.

Meet the local arrival team and drive to Wulingyuan for two nights near the park gateway. The day is reserved for travel and rest; Tianmen Mountain is kept for its separate sightseeing day.

Allow roughly 6–8 hours in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, using official eco-buses, the planned Bailong Elevator and Tianzi Mountain Cableway to connect upper visitor areas. Walk selected Yuanjiajie viewpoints among sandstone pillars and natural bridges before continuing to Tianzi Mountain.

The order can be reversed around operations and queues. Lifts reduce climbing but do not eliminate steps, walking or high viewpoints; visibility changes with mist. Return to the same Wulingyuan hotel, with the exact lift and shuttle package recorded in the quotation.

Yuanjiajie · Tianzi Mountain

Drive about an hour to Zhangjiajie city and follow the reserved Tianmen circuit, allowing approximately 5–6 hours for operating cableways, scenic vehicles, escalators and open summit paths. Visit the cave area where permitted without requiring the full 999-step climb. The glass walkway is optional and is not the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge.

Stay in the city for tomorrow’s station access. The source’s Grand Canyon and Baofeng Lake alternative is a different full-day choice, with separate roads, tickets and confirmation; it is not added on top of Tianmen. Confirm the actual cableway route rather than promising an old operating pattern.

Tianmen Mountain

Take the planned second-class rail journey from Zhangjiajie West to the confirmed Guilin station. This is a substantial travel day; the dated direct service or agreed connection determines arrival, not an assumed early-afternoon schedule. Meet the local vehicle and check in.

Reed Flute Cave is planned for about 1–1.5 hours only if arrival, opening and energy allow. Otherwise review a following-day slot after Longji, with no guarantee that two late visits can be fitted together. The final sequence is resolved before the itinerary is sold.

Reed Flute Cave

Drive roughly 2–2.5 hours each way to the Ping’an terrace area, then combine the required local transport with around 1.5–2 hours of village and viewpoint walking. Learn about Zhuang houses and the work behind the terraced hills without undertaking a cross-village hike.

Water, green rice and golden harvest colours follow cultivation and season. Return to Guilin, adding a deferred cave visit only if closing time, roads and the group’s energy genuinely allow it. Village shuttles and any additional access charges are identified separately.

Longji Rice Terraces

Transfer to the confirmed Li River pier for the planned cruise to Yangshuo, normally around 4–5 hours depending on water and operations. Limestone peaks, river villages and cultivated banks offer a different pace after the mountain walks. The booked vessel category, seat and onboard meal determine the actual package.

After arrival, take a short countryside walk or an agreed gentle cycle ride if time and weather allow. Guests who do not cycle use the arranged vehicle between permitted viewpoints. Confirm bike and helmet provision before booking; stay in Yangshuo tonight.

Li River Cruise

Keep the morning flexible around the confirmed flight, then drive about 1.5–2 hours to Guilin Liangjiang Airport before check-in and security. There is no fixed extra countryside activity to rush through after checkout.

Take the planned nonstop economy flight to Shanghai and meet the local driver for the hotel transfer. The actual Pudong or Hongqiao arrival airport is stated in the booking. The evening is left for rest rather than a compulsory night tour.

Explore Yu Garden’s open rockeries, ponds and covered passages for roughly 1–1.5 hours, then walk through the surrounding old town. The guide explains garden composition and neighbourhood changes rather than treating every modern shopfront as a preserved historic building.

Continue to the Bund for river views and the contrast between historic waterfront façades and the Lujiazui skyline. Leave time for a coffee or rest at your own expense. Confirm the garden’s dated opening calendar and reorder the Shanghai visits if necessary.

Yu Garden · The Bund

Pack and relax before the agreed private transfer to Shanghai Pudong or Hongqiao Airport. The local team confirms the terminal, flight and traffic allowance, including time for international check-in if applicable.

The standard twenty-night itinerary ends here. Additional Shanghai stays or onward rail services are separately arranged rather than assumed to be part of the airport departure.
