4-Day Sanxingdui, Leshan and Mount Emei Tour | From Chengdu

Your Sanxingdui, Leshan and Mount Emei tour starts with the following arrangements. Meet your driver at the Chengdu airport or railway station named in your booking and travel to the hotel in a private vehicle. The arrival day has no compulsory sightseeing, leaving time for luggage, check-in and rest after the journey. The actual terminal or station and meeting point are confirmed before travel.

An early arrival can leave room for an independent neighbourhood walk and a meal of your choice. Recommendations follow your hotel location and dietary preferences; additional guiding or transport is agreed separately rather than added automatically to the arrival transfer.

Drive to Sanxingdui near Guanghan in roughly 1–1.5 hours and allow about four hours for its galleries. Bronze figures, masks and ceremonial objects offer evidence of ancient Shu society; your guide explains what the excavations support and where interpretation remains open. A public conservation display can be included when accessible, but entry into a working laboratory is not promised.

Return toward Chengdu for the night, with a southern-side hotel preferred to support tomorrow’s Leshan journey where a suitable property is available. The exact hotel and any change between the two city nights are confirmed before booking. An additional specialist museum guide is optional and separately quoted.

Sanxingdui Museum

Drive south to Leshan in roughly 2–2.5 hours for the scheduled river boat, using an authorised sailing to see the Giant Buddha’s full cliff setting. Continue on land to the Lingyun Temple and upper viewing area. The boat depends on river conditions, and the narrow foot-level stairway is not added automatically on top of both visits.

Continue around an hour to Emei, then link the official sightseeing bus, the walk toward Jieyin Hall and the summit cableway. Stay in the confirmed Golden Summit area, above 3,000 metres, with a small overnight bag and the main-luggage plan agreed in advance. This full day requires an early start and realistic admission and queue allowances; sunrise is tomorrow’s possibility, not a guarantee.

Leshan Giant Buddha · Mount Emei

Use the summit overnight for a possible dawn view if the weather and open paths allow. Keep warm and take the stairs slowly at altitude; the cloud layer, sunlight and distant views cannot be booked in advance. After the morning, descend using the agreed cableway and mountain bus.

Make the separately connected stop at Wannian Temple, visiting its permitted halls and sculpture areas rather than promising access to a supposed ancient bronze building. Keep food secure and do not feed macaques. Return by private vehicle to Chengdu, allowing roughly 2.5–3.5 hours from the Emei area plus the chosen airport or station procedures. Confirm a late enough onward service to preserve the temple visit.
