4-Day Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Tour from Chengdu | Two Valley Days

Begin at Chengdu East station for the booked second-class train to Huanglongjiuzhai, planning around two hours on the train. Your local reception connects the arrival with a private road journey of roughly 2–2.5 hours to the Jiuzhaigou entrance area; the station is not at the valley gate.

Stay for three nights in the same entrance-area hotel, outside the protected sightseeing area. The planned Tibetan-style hotpot dinner introduces a local meal, with its menu and charge scope confirmed before booking. Chengdu airport pickup, a first-night Chengdu hotel and an unspecified station-to-station escort are not automatically part of this short programme.

Use Jiuzhaigou’s official shuttle network and the currently open boardwalks for Rize Valley, working through the selected lakes and Pearl Shoal area before continuing into Shuzheng Valley. Routes toward the Primeval Forest, Swan Lake and other upper stops depend on season and opening decisions, not a guaranteed checklist.

Allow a full day with pauses for meals and rest; boardwalks and buses still leave walking and altitude exposure. The scheduled second park day needs its own valid entry arrangements, so no free re-entry is assumed. Return to the entrance hotel before closure. Jiuzhai Qiangu Qing is an optional, separately paid evening show when operating.

Jiuzhaigou

Re-enter on the second booked park date and take the authorised transport into Zechawa Valley. Visit Long Lake and the nearby Five-Color Pond using the open paths, allowing a shorter morning than yesterday’s wider circuit. Colours and views vary with light, season and weather.

Use the afternoon for permitted additional park time or return to the hotel for rest, staying within the day’s ticket and exit rules. Do not treat leaving and re-entering as unrestricted. A Tibetan-Qiang bonfire evening with the advertised roast-lamb meal is optional and supplier-dependent; the venue, meal scope and performance are agreed separately.

Jiuzhaigou

Drive to Huanglong in roughly 2–2.5 hours, then use the confirmed ascent cableway and the open connecting route toward the upper Five-Color Pond area. The pools are high in the valley: visit them before the longer downhill walk, rather than describing them as the end of a descent. Scenic vehicles, where selected, have their own tickets and do not remove all stairs.

Allow around 4–5 hours for a measured visit above 3,500 metres before transferring to Huanglongjiuzhai for the second-class train to Chengdu East. Warm layers, breaks and a route suited to your ability matter at altitude. Plan an evening arrival, often around 20:00–21:00 on the source basis but subject to the dated service. The tour ends at Chengdu East; a city hotel or further transfer is not included automatically.
