A foothill base supports the Golden Summit day without claiming a summit hotel or guaranteed sunrise.
Travel from Xi’an to Chengdu by second-class rail, with local reception and separate road services on each side.

Your Xi’an and Chengdu nature tour starts with the following arrangements. Meet your guide and driver at the Xi’an airport or railway station named in your booking and travel to the hotel in a private vehicle. The arrival day has no compulsory sightseeing, leaving time for luggage, check-in and rest after the journey. The actual terminal or station and meeting point are confirmed before travel.
An early arrival can leave room for an independent neighbourhood walk and a meal of your choice. Recommendations follow your hotel location and dietary preferences; additional guiding or transport is agreed separately rather than added automatically to the arrival transfer.
Private road transfers and walking · Allow actual road links, visits, rest and departure procedures
Road service does not replace pedestrian sections or official scenic transport.
Private vehicles for the scheduled road journeys →Private English-speaking guiding for the listed visits and explicitly scheduled local reception. The driver handles roads; train accompaniment is not assumed.
Travel to Lintong in roughly 1–1.5 hours and allow around three hours for the Terracotta Warriors pits. Your guide relates the different formations and figure types to the making of an imperial army, with surviving colour and fragmented sculpture showing why conservation continues long after excavation. Any entrance tram follows the confirmed ticket and access arrangement.
Continue to Huaqing Palace for its imperial bathing remains and later historical associations before returning to Xi’an. A conservation-themed educational activity can be requested, but a laboratory visit, handling original Qin objects and restoration work are not guaranteed visitor privileges. The Song of Everlasting Sorrow is an optional, separately confirmed evening addition when operating, with a later return.
Private road transfer · Around 1–1.5 hours each way
Road service does not replace pedestrian sections or official scenic transport.
Private vehicles for the scheduled road journeys →Hotel breakfast. Service style and early-departure arrangements are confirmed with the property.
Only the listed main visits. Cableways, shuttles, tower climbing, rentals, special halls and optional experiences require their own confirmed scope. Free-admission venues still follow reservation rules.
Exact venue, ticket or session, participation conditions and materials are confirmed in your proposal.
Private English-speaking guiding for the listed visits and explicitly scheduled local reception. The driver handles roads; train accompaniment is not assumed.
Drive around 1.5–2.5 hours to Huashan, then use the official shuttle and West Peak cableway. From the upper station, walk toward West Peak and South Peak on the open paths, choosing a turnaround point around your fitness, queues and descent time. This is sustained mountain stair walking, not a guaranteed leisurely half-hour stroll.
The South Peak plank walk is an optional operator-controlled activity with separate eligibility, queues and charges; it is not needed to enjoy the standard route. A longer loop toward East and Middle Peaks requires sufficient time and ability. Return by the West Peak cableway and the road vehicle to Xi’an, with weather and maintenance able to alter the agreed mountain plan.
Private road transfer · Around 1.5–2.5 hours each way, plus mountain transport
Road service does not replace pedestrian sections or official scenic transport.
Private vehicles for the scheduled road journeys →Scenic bus, cableway and walking · See the confirmed route; allow queues, steps and altitude
Scenic transport is separate from the private car. Actual ticket combination and fee inclusion must be confirmed.

Spend the morning on a selected City Wall section and in the Muslim Quarter, comparing the city’s fortifications with the street life inside them. Leave time for a meal and luggage collection rather than adding an extra ticketed attraction before the train.
Transfer to Xi’an North for a second-class high-speed service to Chengdu East, planning roughly 3–4 hours on the train plus both road connections and station procedures. Your Chengdu guide and driver meet you on arrival and take you to the hotel. The actual service and rail-fare scope are confirmed in the quotation; no uninterrupted train accompaniment is assumed.
Private road transfer · Allow city visits, luggage and station security
Road service does not replace pedestrian sections or official scenic transport.

Visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding early, allowing about three hours for the selected open enclosures and walking routes. Observe feeding or rest from the public areas, without promises of a named panda, cubs or animal contact. This is a managed conservation facility rather than a wild-panda encounter.
Continue to Sanxingdui near Guanghan, allowing around 1–1.5 hours on the road, for the ancient Shu collection. Bronze masks, figures and ceremonial objects reveal a distinctive material tradition through archaeological evidence; visual resemblances do not prove links with Egypt or the Maya. Museum reservations and the day’s gallery access are confirmed before returning to Chengdu.

Drive south to Leshan in roughly 2–2.5 hours and visit the Lingyun Temple and Giant Buddha setting. Look at the relationship between the cliff carving, rivers and drainage features before choosing the permitted close-view route. The narrow stairway toward the feet can involve long queues and is used only when open and suitable.
Allow around 2.5–3.5 hours for the land visit, with breaks and no fixed promise of reaching the foot platform in 30 minutes. Continue around 45–75 minutes to your hotel in the Emei foothills. Today ends below the mountain, ready for tomorrow’s ascent; a sightseeing boat is not automatically substituted or added without agreement.

Use Emei’s official mountain bus to Leidongping, walk uphill to Jieyin Hall and take the cableway toward the Golden Summit. Allow time for boarding, stairs and slow movement above 3,000 metres, with warm layers for the exposed upper mountain. The lift does not remove the altitude or all walking.
Visit the accessible summit and Huazang Temple areas, then descend by the agreed transport and stop at Baoguo Temple before returning to the foothill hotel. Cloud seas, clear views and special light effects are weather-dependent. This is a full mountain day, so road and temple timing must fit the final descent rather than relying on zero queues.

Use any spare morning time near the Emei hotel before your guide and driver collect you for Chengdu. This is an intercity departure transfer, not a short ride from a central Chengdu hotel. Plan around 2.5–3.5 hours toward the booked Chengdu airport or station, with the exact endpoint and traffic able to change the driving time.
Choose an onward service that leaves a comfortable road and check-in buffer. Chengdu Tianfu and Shuangliu airports are different destinations, and the confirmed airport must be checked before fixing the pickup. No extra mountain visit is inserted into the departure connection.
