5-Day Chongqing and Wulong Tour | City Layers & Two Gorges

Your 5-day Chongqing and Wulong tour starts with the following arrangements. Meet your driver at the Chongqing airport or railway station named in your booking and travel to the hotel in a private vehicle. The arrival day has no compulsory sightseeing, leaving time for luggage, check-in and rest after the journey. The actual terminal or station and meeting point are confirmed before travel.

An early arrival can leave room for an independent neighbourhood walk and a meal of your choice. Recommendations follow your hotel location and dietary preferences; additional guiding or transport is agreed separately rather than added automatically to the arrival transfer.

Start at Kuixinglou to see how streets connect different elevations, then watch trains from Liziba’s public viewing area. Take the scheduled one-way Yangtze Cableway crossing to the south bank, with the driver using the road bridge to meet you at the permitted collection point. Queues and the operating direction are confirmed for the day.

Pause around Xiahaoli’s restored hillside lanes before returning toward Yuzhong for the evening Hongyadong and Qiansimen viewpoints. Tea, food and extra purchases follow your chosen arrangement. The route includes steps and slopes, and night illumination does not mean a quiet or crowd-free setting. Return to the Chongqing hotel.

Walk Shibati’s reconstructed hillside streets, then continue to Ciqikou for the river-port setting, teahouses and food shops. These are popular visitor districts with stairs and commercial activity, not untouched neighbourhoods empty of other travellers. Leave space for a meal and breaks between the cross-city transfers.

Visit Huangjueping Graffiti Street for a contrasting arts setting, then travel toward the confirmed Chaotianmen-area pier for the scheduled two-rivers night cruise. Sailing, boarding location and the standard ticket type are identified in the proposal; premium decks or dining are not assumed. Return to the hotel after the cruise.

Leave early for Wulong, allowing around 3–3.5 hours each way in addition to the scenic visits. At the Three Natural Bridges, use the authorised descent facilities and follow the valley route beneath the natural arches. Continue after a meal break to Longshuixia’s boardwalks and narrow stream-cut gorge.

This is a long day with roughly 6–7 hours of road travel plus sustained walking, steps and potentially damp surfaces. Return to Chongqing after the two visits. Impression Wulong is optional and separately paid when running, but adding it would make the return much later and requires a reviewed schedule, not a casual extra at the end.

Keep the last free time for packing, rest or a short walk near the hotel. Your driver collects you at the agreed time for the confirmed Chongqing airport or railway station, allowing the actual road journey, traffic and departure procedures.

No distant attraction is added before this connection. Extra sightseeing or another hotel night can be discussed ahead, with availability, service hours and any supplement agreed before your onward booking is changed.
