West Lake Hangzhou

Travel in second class from Hangzhou East to Beijing South, provisionally around 4.5–6.5 hours. The local guide and driver meet your arrival and transfer you to the hotel. An arrival-dependent Shichahai walk offers a smaller-scale introduction to Beijing after the rail hub; keep it short or rest instead when the service arrives late.

Transfer to Chengdu East for a second-class train to Chongqing, provisionally around 1–2.5 hours. Meet the local team and check in. Keep the mountain city’s hillside streets for tomorrow rather than overloading the arrival evening.

Watch the train from Liziba’s public viewing area, then explore Kuixinglou’s layered street connections. Ride the booked Yangtze River Cableway before a break and an evening exterior walk around Hongyadong and Qiansimen Bridge. Your guide reduces unnecessary backtracking and stairs where possible, but the city’s changes in level remain. Cableway operation, waterfront access and lighting depend on actual conditions.

Walk the public trading areas of Guangzhou International Textile City with your guide, observing fabrics, accessories and the activity behind a clothing supply chain. This is a working market, with no compulsory shopping and photography only by permission. Continue to a Pearl River public walkway, giving any museum visit moved from yesterday priority over a longer waterfront stroll.

Study carving, tiled roof decoration and courtyard design at the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall before leaving Guangzhou. Dim sum is a meal suggestion chosen separately. Continue to Guangzhou South for a second-class train to Shenzhen North, provisionally around 0.5–1 hour on the train, and meet the local team for the hotel connection.
