Your Nyingchi to Lhasa tour starts with the following arrangements. Meet the guide and driver at Nyingchi Mainling Airport and head toward the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon. A flight arriving before midday is preferable for the planned managed viewpoints; later arrivals need a shorter agreed visit. Allow roughly 2–3 hours of road travel, with extra time for any official scenic-area transfers.

Stay at Songtsam Lodge Namcha Barwa in Darin Village, the named first-night property in this itinerary. Enjoy the lodge’s viewing areas and a quiet evening. Mountain visibility is weather dependent; neither a named lodge booking nor a room category guarantees an uninterrupted peak view.

Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon

Take an approximately one-hour walk through the village’s permitted public lanes with your guide, learning about Kongpo homes, farmland and the canyon setting. Private courtyards and portraits of residents require consent. Afterwards travel toward Sejila for the planned brief high-pass viewpoint and then back to Nyingchi’s urban hotel.

This detour is a substantial mountain-road day, provisionally about 5–7 hours of driving with the exact village exit and pass approach checked locally. Keep the pass stop short at roughly 4,700 metres; no high-altitude trek is scheduled. Stay two nights in the same Nyingchi hotel.

Darin Village · Sejila Pass

Drive about two hours each way to Basum Tso, allowing roughly three hours for its open visitor circuit. Follow the managed lakeside paths and bridge connection to the island temple when operating, learning how the lake and shrine relate to local religious life.

Use the required scenic transport and fit a short Jieba village stop around the actual circuit rather than adding a distant walk. Return to the same hotel. Stone-pot chicken or another regional dinner can be recommended; a recommendation does not make the restaurant meal included.

Basum Tso · Jieba Village

Transfer to Nyingchi Railway Station for the planned second-class train to Lhasa, usually around 3.5–4.5 hours on the dated service. The local arrival team meets you at Lhasa station and takes you to the hotel. This move gains altitude to approximately 3,650 metres, so leave time to rest.

A short guided Barkhor walk follows only if train arrival and your condition allow. Follow the clockwise circulation around Jokhang’s exterior and browse the public lanes; this day does not include a separate Jokhang interior visit. The exact rail fare and train are specified in the quotation.

Visit the Potala Palace at the reserved slot, taking its steep approach slowly and following the permitted interior route and time limit. The guide interprets where site rules permit. Ticket availability must be confirmed; an exterior stop is not an equivalent replacement.

Later join the planned Tibetan dress photo session at an agreed authorised location. Choose the outfit and allow time for styling before the shoot. Confirm session length, photographer, outfit choice, makeup, delivered image count and editing before booking; no unlimited photographs or access inside religious buildings is assumed.

Keep the morning for packing and a relaxed breakfast before your arranged transfer to Lhasa Gonggar Airport or the railway station. Allow about 1–1.5 hours on the airport road plus the required check-in and security margin; station timing follows the actual hotel.

A later departure may leave time near the hotel within the approved local arrangements, but no compulsory final-day sightseeing or extra photography session is included.
