The remainder of the day is free for rest and adjusting to the time difference, with the airport or station and meeting location agreed before travel.

An evening walk on the Bund is a suggestion for independent time, not an extra compulsory tour after your flight. Choose dinner to suit your appetite, with Shanghai noodles or braised dishes among the local options, paid separately.

Visit the Shanghai Museum at People’s Square, then walk Shanghai Old Street before continuing to the Jade Buddha Temple. The museum’s programme must be matched to your dates: its current official notice assigns the People’s Square building to a paid ancient-Americas exhibition, rather than the Chinese-art collection described in older itineraries. The exhibition and ticket are confirmed before booking; a different museum building is not silently substituted.

Continue to the Oriental Pearl Tower for a river-and-city view. Local dim sum makes a possible lunch stop, with its meal cost confirmed separately. A Huangpu River night cruise is optional and separately paid, coordinated with the selected pier and your preferred evening finish.

Continue to Suzhou and Tiger Hill, where the leaning pagoda is the visual focus of a wider hill-and-garden setting. End around Jinji Lake before checking into your Suzhou hotel. Any light show follows the current operating programme; the Suzhou Eye Ferris wheel is an optional, separately paid addition, not a guaranteed part of the lake visit.

Continue to the Suzhou Museum’s main building at the booked time, then walk Pingjiang Road for a closer view of canal-side daily life. An evening walk on Shantang Street extends the waterside theme. Alternatively, a separately booked Master of the Nets Garden night programme can replace that stroll when operating. The night performance is not included automatically, and cannot be added on top without considering the finish time. Stay a second night in Suzhou.

Transfer to Suzhou South station for a second-class high-speed train to Hangzhou West, with a planning ride of around 45–60 minutes; the date’s service and both station names are confirmed before ticketing. Spend the afternoon around West Lake, following Su Causeway, Flower Harbour and Bai Causeway before visiting Hu Qing Yu Tang’s historic pharmacy setting. Walking is the default; bicycle hire and Leifeng Pagoda entry are optional extras. Riding follows permitted routes rather than assuming every causeway allows bicycles. End at the Hangzhou hotel.

Visit Lingyin Temple, then travel to Meijiawu to meet a tea-growing host and learn how Longjing leaves are shaped and dried. Tasting anchors the visit; picking fresh leaves or joining pan-firing depends on the season, permission and safe working arrangements, not simply on arriving at a plantation. Temple and surrounding scenic-area access are confirmed for the date.

Continue to Chenghuangge for the planned snack-banquet stop and views, then browse Hefang Street. The meal scope and any live music session need confirmation rather than a guaranteed menu or continuous performance. Impression West Lake is an optional, separately paid evening show when operating.
