7-Day Siguniang Mountain and Danba Tour | From Chengdu to Hailuogou

Your Siguniang Mountain and Danba tour starts with the following arrangements. Your private arrival transfer connects the confirmed Chengdu airport or railway station with the downtown hotel. There is no scheduled sightseeing: use the first evening to rest, check luggage and discuss mountain clothing with the team. The operating airport and terminal are confirmed from your actual ticket.

Tomorrow’s route climbs into western Sichuan. Selected town and village stays are described separately from the city hotel, so expectations about heating, stairs and bathrooms can be agreed before travel.

Travel via the Dujiangyan–Wolong corridor to Shenshuping Panda Base. Visit its public paths and enclosures with your guide, learning about conservation work without assuming panda handling, keeper access or a particular animal sighting.

Continue through the operating Balang Mountain tunnel route to Siguniang Town, around 3,200 metres. Plan roughly 5–6.5 hours of driving across the day before the panda visit, meals and breaks. The old pass is not a compulsory excursion. Keep the evening quiet after this rapid gain in sleeping altitude.

Wolong Panda Base

Use the official shuttle to connect Shuangqiao Valley’s open stops, then explore selected boardwalks beside forests, lakes and meadows. Allow about 5–6 hours in the park with short walks and breaks rather than trying to walk the full valley road. Snow peaks appear only when cloud allows.

The upper shuttle stops approach 3,800 metres, so bus access does not make this a low-altitude day. Keep the circuit flexible, return to the same town hotel and confirm the separate shuttle ticket in the proposal.

Shuangqiao Valley

Drive toward Danba through river valleys, provisionally about 3–4 hours before breaks and the final uphill village approach. The intended village is Jiaju, known for Jiarong Tibetan stone-and-timber houses on the hillside; the source’s ‘Jiayu’ spelling is not used to create a different place.

Check into the planned local village homestay and explore the public lanes. Butter tea and the host’s Tibetan-style dinner form the intended welcome, with the host, serving and dietary arrangements agreed in advance. Rooms and bathrooms follow the actual village property rather than a city four-star promise; sunset colours are not guaranteed.

Jiaju Tibetan Village

Enjoy a short morning village walk before driving south through the Danba–Kangding–Luding corridor to Moxi. Allow roughly 4–5.5 hours on the road with additional breaks, depending on the actual operating route. Carry warm layers even as the overnight altitude drops.

Walk the accessible old-town streets on arrival, noticing the mixture of Tibetan and Han building traditions and the area’s role on regional trade routes. Settle into the Moxi property for two nights, ready for tomorrow’s glacier excursion.

Moxi Ancient Town

Enter Hailuogou using its timed visitor arrangements and official shuttle. The planned cableway reaches the open upper glacier viewpoints, around 3,600 metres, subject to maintenance and weather. Look across the glacier landscape and, in clear conditions, toward Gongga; there is no glacier walk or summit ascent in this programme.

Return to Moxi for the planned mineral hot-spring visit. Confirm the exact venue, access and whether the arrangement is a private pool or a shared facility before booking. A private bath and snow-peak view are not assumed merely from a hotel description. Cableway closure requires an agreed revised circuit and price treatment.

Hailuogou Glacier Park · Moxi Hot Springs

Drive back toward Chengdu, allowing approximately 4–5 hours before rest stops and the final airport or station approach. Your driver takes the permitted expressway route and your local team coordinates the agreed endpoint.

An evening or later departure provides more margin than an early-afternoon flight. Confirm the terminal, route conditions and check-in allowance before buying the onward ticket; an extra city night is a separately priced extension, not part of the standard six nights.
