Your Beijing and Harbin family tour starts with the following arrangements. Meet your guide and driver at the booked Beijing airport or railway station and transfer to the city hotel. Leave the first day free of fixed sightseeing so the family can rest and settle in.

Early arrivals may take a nearby independent walk. The actual Capital or Daxing terminal and any child-seat or luggage requirements are confirmed before travel; the two airports are not interchangeable meeting points.

Follow the confirmed reservation sequence through Tiananmen Square and the Palace Museum, allowing around 3–3.5 hours in the palace after the square visit. Return to Beijing after lunch without adding another major city visit.

Mutianyu Great Wall

Explore the Temple of Heaven’s open ceremonial circuit and park for roughly 2–2.5 hours, learning how architecture served imperial rites. Public exercise or calligraphy may be encountered, but residents are not arranged performers.

Walk the Shichahai hutong lanes for about 1.5–2 hours before the proposed one-hour family workshop. Choose one confirmed activity—opera-mask painting, Chinese knot-making or dumpling-making—matched to ages, language and the host’s availability. The proposal sets out materials, instructor and food serving where relevant; all three are not included together.

Visit the Summer Palace for about 2.5–3 hours along the open lakeside and Long Corridor routes. Keep to designated paths; a frozen lake is not open for recreation unless the authorised ice operation has announced access.

Collect luggage and transfer to Beijing Chaoyang station for the booked second-class train to Harbin or Harbin West. Rail time is commonly around 4.5–5.5 hours on suitable services, but the dated train determines the schedule. Summer Palace Beijing

Stop at the season’s announced giant snowman when completed and open, then allow around 2.5–3 hours for Sun Island’s outdoor snow-sculpture expo. The snowman’s size, design and location are not fixed across editions.

After an indoor meal and warming break, spend about four hours at outdoor Ice-Snow World, arriving before dusk when its dates and ticket slot permit. Games and slides are selected around age, height, queues and operation. Warm-up breaks are part of pacing, not a guarantee that every outdoor activity suits every child.

Begin at Hongzhuan market, with breakfast foods purchased to suit the family, then join the planned 1–1.5-hour professional portrait session around Saint Sophia Square. The proposed 1.5–2-hour Songhua River carnival visit uses only the officially open managed area. Its entry and individual rides have separately specified charges and child rules. With the market, photography and walking, this is a substantial day; the actual route and outdoor time are adjusted before the programme is confirmed, not extended onto unregulated river ice.

Spend about three hours in the booked Polarland venue, following the current display and presentation schedule. The exact hall and ticket are specified before booking; a generic ‘Polarland’ label does not include every separate building or programme. A different indoor activity can be discussed in advance rather than substituted without agreement.

Join the planned 1.5–2-hour beginner ice-carving workshop with a qualified activity host. Child-appropriate tools, protective equipment, supervision, language and warm-up facilities are confirmed with the operator. The travel guide assists communication and is not automatically the technical instructor.

Harbin Polarland · Introductory ice-carving workshop

Visit the tiger park by its official protected vehicle and designated viewing paths for about 2–2.5 hours. Observe animal behaviour without direct contact, cub holding or unapproved feeding.

Continue to Volga Manor for around 3–4 hours among Russian-inspired buildings and snowy grounds. This is a modern themed estate, not a preserved historic Russian village. Confirm winter roads between the two outlying sites, interior openings and closing time. Snow tubing and other recreation are extras when operating; photographs do not include a second professional session.

Siberian Tiger Park · Volga Manor

Use the final morning for packing and rest before the booked Taiping Airport or railway transfer. The local team confirms the terminal, snow-road margin and check-in time from the real onward service.

No compulsory final-day attraction is arranged. Additional time in Harbin or a changed transfer destination is quoted separately.
